Try a Smoked Pork Tenderloin Recipe or Two

One Good Smoked Pork Tenderloin Recipe is all you need for this very nice cut of pork. Pork tenderloin itself is a naturally delicious flavored meat that one simple smoker recipe will keep you "smoking" this piece of pork for years to come.

Quite often you can find pork tenderloin on sale at your local supermarket. It's a good idea to buy several tenderloins at a time when there is a special.

When you fire up the smoker, do 3 or 4 tenderloins at a time and freeze portions after you are done. Sliced, pork tenderloin makes a great sandwich either hot or cold.

The first smoked pork tenderloin recipe is one that will show you how to smoke this delicious cut of meat and the recipe that follows that is what to do with a tenderloin that has already been smoked.


This smoked pork tenderloin recipe gives you instruction for a charcoal or electric water smoker.

Smoked Pork Tenderloin

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 to 2 pound pork tenderloin
1 cup apricot nectar
1/2 cup apple cider
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon whole cloves

DIRECTIONS:
Pierce meat with a fork all over. In a saucepan combine remaining ingredients and heat until sugar is dissolved. Place meat in a glass bowl or plastic bag and add marinade. Refrigerate overnight in marinade.

Remove meat from marinade and place on smoker grill. Pour remaining marinade into smoker's water pan.

Charcoal: Use 5 pounds charcoal, 3 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 2-3 hours.

Electric: Use 3 quarts hot water, 2 wood sticks and smoke 2�3 hours.


Use this smoked pork tenderloin recipe for an extra tenderloin that you had previously smoked.

Smokey Honey Tenderloin Skillet

INGREDIENTS:
3 tablespoons butter
1 smoked pork tenderloin, cut into 2-inch slices
4 medium carrots, sliced in 1-inch pieces
3 celery stalks, sliced in 1-inch pieces
1 small onion, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried sage leaves
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried sage leaves

In a large skillet melt butter. Add pork tenderloin slices and the carrots. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until meat has a nice brown crust on each side.

Stir in all remaining ingredients. Lower heat and cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are done(8-10 minutes).
