Ken Verlander

by Ken Verlander
(Newbridge, Wales, UK)

Up until two months ago, the best ribs I had ever had were from a small sea side restaurant in Praia da Luz, Portugal. They used a dry rub that to this day I still can't figure out what was in it but it was amazing. Anyway I returned to Baton Rouge, LA to visit family in June and we all went to a place called T J Ribs. What can I say other than, "I take my hat off to the chefs". The meat was so tender, if you stared at it to long, it would fall off the bone! ...and the sauce..simply incredible. I love ribs and have tried different places throughout the US,UK,Spain & Portugal and if there is one place I'd recommend, it's back in "Red Stick" Louisiana, T J Ribs.
