An Easy Guacamole Recipe Comes From Fresh Ingredients

It's Avacado Dip To You Gringos

easy guacamole recipe If you are looking for an Easy Guacamole Recipe, there are a couple of really good ones below. But first a little guacamole backround.

Guacamole, oravacado dip to some, is a mixture of fresh vegetables like tomatoes, onions, and a delicious fruit that is often mistaken for a vegetable...the avocado.

The Aztecs of Mexico were the first to eat guacamole, but their version was basically just mashed avocados. They called it ahuacamolli, and it later became guacamole.

The Spaniards later added some European ingredients like tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro, and lime juice to where it is close to the version we enjoy today.

Classic Simple Guacamole Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
3 ripe avocados, peeled and seeded
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 Roma tomato, seeded and diced
1/2 cup minced sweet onion
2 serrano or jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves
lime juice from 1 lime
Hot red pepper sauce, sea salt, pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut avocados into large chunks and mash coarsely in large bowl with a fork. Add remaining ingredients and blend gently - leaving some small chunks is fine. Taste and adjust seasoning with more pepper sauce, salt and pepper if desired.

Here's another easy guacamole recipe that's the perfect chip dipper.

Avocado Layered Party Dip
INGREDIENTS:
1 14 oz. can refried beans
1 4 oz. can chopped green chiles, drained
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
2 avocados, seeded and peeled
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
taco sauce
1 cup sour cream
shredded lettuce
1 tomato, chopped
ripe olives, sliced
shredded Monterrey Jack cheese
tortilla chips for dipping

INSTRUCTIONS: In a small bowl, mix together refried beans, chiles and taco seasoning mix; spread over serving platter. Coarsley mash together avocados, lemon juice, and taco sauce; spread over bean mixture.

Top with sour cream and sprinkle lettuce, tomato, olives and cheese over all.

Serve with tortilla chips.

Try either easy guacamole recipe yourself, and adjust the heat if you need to. The fresh flavor always comes out with a good avocado or guacamole recipe.
