Coffee BBQ Sauce For Something Unusually Delicious

This Coffee BBQ Sauce Recipe kind of goes along the same principle as Red-Eye Gravy. Strong black coffee gives it a delicious rich flavor. Try it on barbeque beef chicken, pork or just about any other barbeque meat you can think of.

Coffee Barbeque Sauce Recipe (or Red-Eye BBQ Sauce)

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 chopped medium onion
2 seeded and chopped jalapeņos
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tablespoons dry mustard powder, mixed with 1 tablespoon water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons ancho chile powder
2 tablespoons molasses
2 tablespoons ground cumin

DIRECTIONS:
Simmer all ingredients over low heat for 20 minutes, then let cool. Pour the sauce into a blender and blend until smooth. Make this bbq sauce ahead of time and refridgerate. When the meat is ready, serve sauce on the side.
